What is Polson CommunityTel's Wireless High-speed Internet?
Polson CommunityTel is using licensed wireless broadband technology (over the 700 MHz spectrum) to connect your computer to the Internet via our transmitters located on the top of Skyline Dr.

Where is the service available?
Service is available to most of the city of Polson and outlying areas north of Skyline Dr.

Will I need a phone line?
No. You will not need a phone line.

What kind of equipment is needed?
Your computer must be equipped with an Ethernet card. We will provide a wireless broadband radio that will be installed at your location.

Tell me more about the equipment that will need to be installed at my house.

The SOMAport works like a cell phone, in that it communicates with our network over the air and does not require a special wire connection or external antenna. The SOMAport provides a high-speed, "always on" Internet connection, which means you can be connected to the Internet and not use your telephone. The SOMAport is designed to be left on - it should not be turned off when not in use.
